JDS & Associates, LLC is owned and operated by retired police officer, Jason Schanot. With over 20 years of law enforcement experience at the Local, State, and Federal levels, he has developed invaluable skills which he now utilizes as a private investigator.

Before founding JDS & Associates, LLC in 2016, Jason worked in various departments during his career with the Joplin, Missouri Police Department. He started out as a patrolman, then transferred to the Investigations Bureau, and was later assigned as a Task Force Officer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Jason became a member of the SWAT team in 1999 and was the tactical supervisor of the team upon his retirement in December 2016.

We are committed to providing our clients with the evidence and information they need to make prudent decisions in their business and personal life. We provide precise investigative reports along with video, photographs and physical evidence obtained during the course of the investigation. JDS & Associates, LLC specializes in Civil & Criminal Investigations, Surveillance, Process Service, and Victim/Witness Interviews, however other services are available upon request.
